Louise Hay Weight Loss Affirmations:

When do you need to lose weight

Before we get into the part of Louise Hay weight loss affirmations, I want to share with you some of my thoughts about when it might be necessary to consider losing weight.
I believe that each one of us has our own unique beauty, regardless of our size, shape, or color.

While physical appearance may catch our attention, true attraction often comes from a person’s personality and how they carry themselves. Believe it or not, the attraction from one person come largely from their personality, and how they handle life.

We can describe it like a vibe.

You may have encountered several people in your life who may not fit the conventional beauty standards set by society, yet they possess a unique charm that makes them appealing in their own way.

So yes, the look is not everything.

However, this doesn’t mean we should neglect our appearance altogether. If being overweight affects our health, causes discomfort or hinders our daily activities, it’s time to consider losing weight.

If gaining weight makes you feel unhappy and not true to yourself, then it may be time to consider making changes.

Don’t ever try to lose weight to conform to a certain beauty standard or believe that you have to look a certain way to be loved.

With that said, let’s move on to Louise Hay’s affirmations for weight loss or what I like to call “body positivity affirmations.”

Why losing weights have to go along with self love

Losing weight is often associated with societal pressures and standards around beauty and body image.

It’s easy to get carried away during your weight loss journey, to a point where you never feel satisfied about how you look. This can make you keep going to extreme measures and try all sorts of diets without considering the impact on their physical and mental health, which can lead to eating disorders and OCD.

Losing weight always has to go along with self-love. Self-love can help you approach your journey with a positive mindset and focus on your health and well-being rather than external pressures or expectations.

Moreover, self-love can contribute to building self-confidence, resilience, and overall mental and emotional well-being, which are key factors in achieving a healthy and fulfilling life.

Mirror works can do miracles

Another very effective method I want to introduce to you is mirror works.

Mirror work is a technique developed by Louise Hay that involves looking into a mirror and repeating affirmations to yourself. The idea is that by facing and accepting ourselves in the mirror, we can learn to love and accept ourselves more fully.

It’s very simple.

When something awesome happens, go to the mirror and say, “Thank you, thank you! That’s awesome! Thanks for making it happen!”

If something bad happens, go to the mirror and say, “It’s okay, I love you. This thing will pass, but I’ll always love you.”

As you keep doing this mirror works, it’ll grow into new and healthy ways of thinking that’ll lead to a happy and fulfilling life.

Here’s a short clip of Louise Hay teaching us how to do mirror work. It’s sure to make your day more soothing!

I hope my post provided you with some insight into the topic of losing weight. Let’s all take on the journey of self-love more effectively and if we ever consider losing weight, let’s do it in a healthy way. Losing weight should be a form of self-love, not a punishment we put on ourselves to fit in with societal standards.

  1. In my opinion, Louise Hay’s weight loss affirmations can be a helpful tool for those looking to lose weight and improve their overall wellness. Affirmations are positive statements that we repeat to ourselves in order to shift our mindset and beliefs, and with consistent practice, they can help us make meaningful changes in our lives. By incorporating these affirmations into our daily routine, we can start to reframe the way we think about food, exercise, and our bodies. Additionally, using affirmations can provide a sense of motivation and encouragement as we work towards our weight loss goals. While affirmations alone may not result in significant weight loss, they can serve as a powerful complement to other healthy habits such as regular exercise and a balanced diet.

    1. Yes, affirmations are a great complement to strengthen our minds and have an impact on our physical brain.
There are many experiments that prove the positive effects of affirmations on the physical body, the placebo effect serves is an example for that.

  2. Your site started out sounding really good and I was enjoying it, but something went wrong.  Please check and make sure that it is loading and people are viewing it the way you want them to see it.  Sometimes I ask my sister to look up my site and let me know what she sees just to ensure that it is working right.  Can’t wait to read it in the future.

    1. Thank you for your comment. I have performed a site check-up to ensure that everything is running smoothly.

You are so right. One has to feel comfortable in their own skin and that is ultimately what makes you attractive to others, not how much you weigh, or how big or small you are.

However, you can’t let yourself go all together, and I guess if your BMI is over 29 it is maybe time to think about losing some weight, even if just for health reasons. You have provided some sustainable and healthy suggestions here. It’s all about being able to maintain your lifestyle change after all.

    1. Thank you for your thoughtful comment.
Yess, the inner world and how you carry yourself are the most important factors in creating attractiveness.
However, sometimes allowing ourselves to gain weight excessively is also a form of neglecting ourselves, so we need to find a balance for this.
Thank you again for visiting my blog.
