Self care time!

Today’s post is dedicated to you, with a focus on the importance of self-care. A night-time routine devoted to self-care can be the perfect way to unwind after a long day, allowing us to relax and re-create ourselves for the next day. To me, I have reached a point in my life where my top priority is taking care of myself. I hope that the ideas for a self-care night routine will inspire you to prioritize your own self-care as well.

My Story to come up with this Self care night routine:

Okay, let’s warm up first with some stories now:

After experiencing non-stop periods of burnout in my 20s, I took some time to reflect on myself and gain significant insights into what I truly want in life. I found myself constantly chasing after big goals such as career advancement, finding a partner, and building a picture-perfect family, goals that others think is good for me. Even something like “work-life balance” also become a burden and another goal for me to try to achieve.

However, I soon realized that work-life balance was nearly impossible, especially if you are working a demanding job, or at least that was the case for me. I always had to sacrifice something in my life, and usually, it’s my physical and mental health.

Things got to its peaks and then the covid come. For the first time, I was forced to stay at home all day. I thought it would drive me crazy. But believe it or not, the day I realized that I’m gonna stay home for at least the next 3 months ( and of course it even lasted longer than that), I felt a sense of relief.

This was the beginning of a new era for me. With time to reflect on my life, I started to rediscover my true self and figure out what kind of life I really want to live.

Today, I prioritize myself above everything else, even sometimes before my family ( yeah, some might criticize me for that). I’ve come to realize that I can only take care of others if I take good care of myself first.
I can say that the pandemic have saved me in an unexpected way. Me today is very different from me of three or four years ago.

Now, let’s focus on you. I want to share with you my ultimate self-care night routine that guarantees a relaxed and rejuvenating experience, leaving you feeling refreshed and ready for the next day. This routine has been a game-changer for me and has helped me prioritize my own self-care, so I hope it inspires you to do the same.

The Fast Version self care night routine:

The Fast Version is perfect for those who have limited free time or want to include some self-care practices in their daily routine without taking up too much time.

We start simply by taking a few minutes to sit comfortably on a chair and think about three things that you are thankful for today.

Expressing gratitude is the most effective ways to elevate your mood and renew your energy. You can write them down or simply list them in your head, take a moment to appreciate them.

Light some candles and apply a face mask while listening to affirmations by Louise Hay or another inspirational speaker. Take this time to pamper yourself and focus on your self-care.

Have you try baking? The process of measuring ingredients, mixing them together, and watching them turn into a delicious treat can be very satisfying and provide a sense of accomplishment.

The smell of fresh baking brings a warm and soothing effect on the mind and can help to promote relaxation. This is a fun and creative way to de-stress and express yourself.

Try something new and you’ll be amazed by your ability.

Alternatively, you can choose to meditate for a few minutes. This can help you to clear your mind and find inner peace.

You can even take some time to clean and organize your room, drawer, or work desk. Clutter and disorganization can create a sense of chaos and can be a source of distraction. Taking some time to tidy up your surroundings can help you feel more in control and can provide a sense of accomplishment.

Additionally, cleaning can be a physical activity that can release endorphins, which are natural mood boosters.
